The LA Council is a self-advocacy group that believes that through personal growth and greater self-esteem, people with disabilities will take charge of their own lives and be full members of the community.
We provide support to the Leadership and Advisory Council, which is made up of the individuals we serve, who believe that through valued roles, people with disabilities will have the good things of life, meaningful relationships, and be full members of the community. In their words: “We lead and direct the services we receive so we can participate fully in our lives”.
